Corisol Holding AG and its wholly owned subsidiary KWE Beteiligungen AG is a family office, based in Zug, Switzerland. The company was founded by Beat Frey in 1974.
The company has two kinds of investment approaches. The first is in small and mid sized companies, listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. One of these investments is a majority holding in Swiss Small Cap Invest. Further, Corisol has in line with Swiss law, reported a holding of above 3% in Schaffner and Datacolor, above 5% in absolute invest, New Value and Interroll, above 10% in Schweiter Technologies and above 15% in Inficon Holding .
The other kind of investment is usually characterised by a more active and long-term approach, mainly in non listed companies. Corisol was for example the second largest shareholder in the Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group. For the past decade this participation formed Corisol's core investment. The Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is the world quality and technology leader in ropeway engineering with a turnover of more than one billion Swiss Francs and a world market share well over 50%.
Another important majority investment is Garaventa Lift, the world leader in platform wheelchair lifts and other accessibility products. Corisol is also invested in real estate, one of these investments is Cadro Panoramica, a hotel and appartement complex in the Southern part of Switzerland.
